The timer starts as soon as we start preparing you and your tattoo set up until completion. The timer gets paused during breaks.    Larger tattoos may require more than one session.

What If I Am Not Feeling Well The Day of My Appointment?

IF YOU ARE SICK OR SUSPECT YOU MAY BE SICK PLEASE DO NOT GET TATTOOED

If your immune system is compromised your tattoos might not heal properly.

We reserve the right to cancel your appointment if we suspect that you might be sick.  You will not lose your deposit if you need to reschedule an appointment due to illness.

How Do I Prepare For My Tattooing Appointment?

It is important that you be well rested and eat some food before your tattoo appointment.  Wear comfortable loose clothes to your appointment.

Bring a set of headphones and some music/podcast to keep yourself distracted while we work.

Avoid drinking alcohol, or taking blood thinners before your tattoo appointment because they can cause excessive bleeding which would repel the ink.

How Do I Care For My New Tattoo?

It is very important to follow the aftercare instructions below as best as possible to ensure proper healing.   We recommend using a product called Saniderm, which is like a thin membrane that will go over your skin for the first four days. Your tattoo will be isolated and will be producing plasma which will keep your tattoo moisturized for the first four days. This will show us a brown liquid, sometimes black or red underneath the plastic. This is commonly called the ink sac.

After the 4th day the plastic membrane can be removed by taking a hot shower (but not so hot that it could damage your skin). The warm shower water will make the plastic very soft so that it will slide off easily.   Proceed to wash the tattoo’d area with unscented antibacterial soap and then apply a thin layer of Aquaphor over the tattoo. Repeat every 3 hours or as needed.

Your tattoo must be kept clean and moisturized. You may experience some scabbing which will make your skin feel very itchy.  Avoid scratching the tattoo because scratching can cause a scar.

Avoid swimming and tanning while your tattoo is healing. Swimming can potentially cause infections and tanning can cause scarring.   Your tattoo is very sensitive. Please stick to your aftercare procedures until it’s fully healed.
